fun in the mud

For some reason this posting is off by a couple of years haha. still a great time and I want to share the post. Jared and I got the opportunity to enjoy some good for the soul kind of fun this weekend! We waded through the mud, pushed through the crowds, and soaked up the rain, all while listening to some amazing music! We saw some absolutely amazing shows, to include:
KINGS OF LEON, YEAH YEAH YEAHS, JOHN LEGEND, THE LEVON HELM BAND, GHOSTLAND OBSERVATORY, CITIZEN COPE, THE VIRGINS, PEARL JAM, BEN HARPER AND RELENTLESS7, THE B-52S, ARCTIC MONKEYS, PASSION PIT, DIRTY WHITE LIES, JYPSI, and !!!

We really had a great time! We went in Friday night and hung out in the crazy crowd of Kings of Leon- dancing, and Rock and Rolling! On Saturday we brought our chairs, and hung out in the rain! It was crazy the amount of rain that we sat through, at one point I lost Jared for 2 hours - no worries though I found him sitting in a chair listening to the music with out a worry in the world. I had a great time with my hubby and my little sister, we created memories that we will never forget. I had a great time and I will cherish moments like this forever, even if we did get muddy.

I know it's been FOREVER

I haven't blogged in a VERY long time! Life got a bit CRAZY and my plate got a bit too full to blog on a normal basis- so I just gave it up for a while. I'm not even going to try and play catch up but I will say that life has been very sweet since my last blog and that I feel blessed more than ever. So much has gone on since my last blog- We bought a house- sold it- I got a job- Connor is playing sports- we have traveled- we have grown as a family (not as in new baby (sorry!)) Connor is now 5 years old- CRAZY- (how this kid grows so fast is beyond me!) He is doing fabulous and is smarter than ever, too smart for his own good sometimes! He is doing great in school and is now playing sports! He is seriously cuter than ever (he looks more and more like his dad everyday!) Jared is doing fabulous! He is loving his job, he has had the luxury of traveling to some pretty cool places with his company (Spain, China, Germany, Mexico, different places through out the US) I won't lie, I'm supper jelly! He has always been a great husband and a wonderful father but over the years he has become better than I ever imagined. I am doing fabulous as well, I am now teaching kindergarten. I love my job and adore the kiddos, their really cute! I have lost weight since my last post (heck I gained weight then lost it- it's been a while since I've blogged!) I am feeling very blessed in my life right now and am thankful for the journey that I am getting to enjoy with my wonderful little family. I will TRY to actually blog at least once a week....

TrIcK oR tReAt

Yesterday was Halloween, Connor went as Woody! His costume was absolutely adorable! He was going to go as a robot, but 4 days before halloween he decided that he wanted to be Woody. It took me 4 1/2 hours and 7 stores to finally find one! (It was well worth it!) Connor really enjoyed trick or treating, he was so cute! The first house he wasn't too sure of what he was supposed to do.... the first house is all it took for him to figure it out! Soon he was running up the sidewalk, knocking on doors (he tried kicking a door once when the people didn't answer, he even tried opening someone's door.... we had to explain the rules a little better!) We had a big group with us, Harlen, my cousins daughter went trick or treating with Connor! We had a great time trick or treating in my mom's neighborhood, I'm sure Connor LOVED it!

update....

I know I know, I say it's been a while... I plan to blog more, then I don't blog for a month!
Life has been crazy, I am super busy with school, Connor is growing faster than I want him to, and Jared is CRAZY busy at work! My blog life has been pushed to the back burner. When I get the small chance to blog I try to remember, then I promptly forget as I get side tracked doing something else!
Life has been busy and great! Connor is turning three soon, I have been planning his party for months! Now that it is closer he is getting more and more excited! He is doing really good, learning so much and soooooo fast! It amazes me what he says at times, he often blows my mind with the knowledge that he has!
Jared is doing really well, he has been running more and more lately- I think his goal in the near future is a 50k. (I call it insanity, he calls it his passion!) .... I'll let you judge ;)
I am doing good, school is keeping me on my toes, between studying for my certification exam that I take in January and studying for my classes now.... and teaching.... and being a mom.... and being a wife... etc. I'm busy!
But....
Life is great and we are loving every moment!
Sorry my update is lame and short... maybe I can update more than just once a month! ;)

Five years of bliss!

On the 24th of this month, my husband and I celebrated five years of marriage. I have to say that the last five years have been the best blessed years of my life! Five years ago I married my best friend, two years later we were blessed with our beautiful son, and yesterday we celebrated five years of marriage! Jared has been an amazing husband and a wonderful father, I truley feel blessed.
Jared- I want to thank you for always being there for me, helping me during the hard times at school, helping me out at home (with out you our life would be a mess!) We have had our ups and downs like any marriage but I want to thank you for being so patient, understanding, caring, and so loving (all the time!) I love my life and I have you to thank for a lot of the happiness that I have in it! Thank you for an amazing five years, I look forward to many more like it!
