Happy Birthday to the best husband ever!

Yesterday was my husbands birthday!
We had the luxury of having my parents watch Connor for the evening so that Jared and I could enjoy a nice dinner!
We went to a local favorite Josephine's it was delicious! Then we headed out and got some desert, cheese, and wine.... It was a very relaxing evening!

Jared-
I hope that you had a wonderful birthday! I just want you to know that you are the best husband in the entire world, you have exceeded any expectation that I ever had for you (which is saying a lot considering that my expectations were very high!) It's amazing that I can have my best friend also be my husband! I never imagined that I would find someone that would click with my soul the way that you do. I know that what we have is genuine and it's something that will last forever!
I also want to thank you for being such an amazing father, I have never seen a man love his child the way that you love ours. I love to see the excitement in your face when you get home EVERY afternoon, the way that you rush to the door to scoop up our son into a loving hug and kiss. I love watching you run around the house pretending to be the tickle monster who steals kisses! I know that Connor loves playing with you every afternoon and snuggling/kicking you in the ribs every morning. I can promise you that the love/bond that you have created with your son is one that will last forever.
I want you to know that this family wouldn't and couldn't be the same with out you in it. I know that we are truly blessed to have you in our lives. I love who you are and who you want to be- I will always support you and stand by you - no matter how zany the idea is!
I hope that you had a wonderful birthday- I hope that everyday is just as special as yesterday!
Love always-
your wife,
Jami

Connor and Puppy meet Santa!

Connor met the big man in the red suit today! We waited in line for 30 minutes just to be stopped two people away from Santa- he had to go and feed his reindeer! So, we sat in line for about an hour in half to see the big jolly man! But Connor had a great time running around playing with the other kids and I had fun taking pictures of him in front of the santa set -up!
When he finally got to see Santa he was very excited- more so for Doggy to see santa than for him to see him! Once in Santa's lap Santa asked him if he wanted a train for Christmas- Connor's response was an enthusiastic "Yeeeeeaaaaa" It was pretty darn cute, even Santa and his elves laughed at that one! I couldn't get a true smile out of him with the camera on but I got some cute pictures anyway! Enjoy~

Oh and a very merry Christmas to all of our Family and friends, we wish that we could celebrate it with everyone!

The Great Christmas Tree

This year our Christmas Tree adventures were not as "full of excitement" as others, yet very nice! We went to Home Depot and got our tree- seriously 19.99 for a tree, you just can't beat that! The very first tree Jared picked up actually turned out to be the perfect tree! So by the time that we left the house and returned with a tree only about 30 minutes had gone by! Connor had an absolute blast helping us decorate "Onnor's Chrismas treeeee" He helped his dad put the tree in the stand and helped us put the lights on, the decorations, and of course he assisted in putting the star on the tree! Our tree turned out really cute this year- thanks to my two little elves!

Thanksgiving

Over thanksgiving we went to Louisiana and spent the holiday with Jared's parents. It was really nice to see so much family again, we visited with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, parents. We ate until we could hardly swallow another bite- and then ate some more! Connor enjoyed eating fudge from the dessert table- in-fact when I told him no more.... he snuck at least three more pieces (yea Connor I saw you doing it- you didn't really get away with it!) We really enjoyed visiting everyone! Jared's parents had given Connor a portable DVD player for his birthday- on a 9 hour car ride that was a life saver!
While in Louisiana we went and visited the zoo, rode the train, and hung out with pop and gigi! Connor saw all sorts of interesting animals like a "ippa-pot-musss"(Hippopotamus) and a sheep, goat, bear, monkey, and a "irraf" (Giraffe). He really had a great time with his Grandparents- he really misses you guys already!

Connor's Birthday party

Connor's birthday party turned out really nice, we had some family over at my mom's house and enjoyed ourselves. Connor's birthday theme this year was "Puppy-dog" I figured I should take advantage of the "cute" themes while I can!
So my little sister made his birthday invitations and I attempted at making his birthday cake/cupcakes. The cupcakes came out pretty good I think but the cake was supposed to look like a dog dish full of bones.... (it tasted yummy!)
Connot really had a great time at his party- my dad made him a dog house out of a refrigerator box, I'm pretty sure that was his favorite gift. He received many gifts that he absolutely loves a motorcycle, his own personal backpack, books, tickle me elmo, dvd's/ dvd player for the car, balls, and so much more! We are so glad that everyone could join us for his celebration! Here are a few pictures!
