First let me say...it is not my fault that I have not updated the blog in the past couple of weeks, the blog website wasn't letting me! Now I can update and add pictures...it wont videos just yet!
But I did add some pictures from Easter so that you guys can see Connor and his first Easter basket!
On another note, Connor has now mastered his technique when rolling over, he tucks his head, pulls in his arm, and rolls over! There is no more forcing him to participate in tummy time....is that good or bad? I think that he is trying to do the whole inch worm thing but hasn't quite figured it out just yet! I think that he will be crawling in the next month or so! (How exciting/scary!) To go along with his quick skills in rolling over he has also figured out how to talk back, well not in the way that will get him grounded....not yet anyway! Our little guy is a babbling machine! Connor has also discovered what food taste like, he has tried peaches, apple sauce, carrots, turkey and rice, sweet potatoes and his least favorite corn! He knows to open his mouth for the spoon and to keep most of the food in his mouth! He is getting cuter and cuter by the day!
Jared and I had a fun weekend! Connor went to Grandma and PaPa's Saturday night and stayed until Sunday evening. Tay, Jared's little brother, came into town and they went rock climbing (looking at the blisters and listening to their plans to go again makes me believe that they enjoyed themselves!) I hung out with my mom and sister Saturday day, we grabbed lunch then I got my hair done! I put blond and bright red highlights through out my hair, it's a bit dramatic but very cute! This weekend was my get in touch with my inner self weekend haha....I made a few changes that I felt that I really needed! (I feel so rejuvenated!) We also hung out with some great friends over the weekend, Nicole and Mike. We headed out to their place on Saturday night and had some BBQ and played poker (Nicole is really a poker pro, she kicked our butts :(!) It was a great time though!
The weekend before Jared and I went out with some of our other friends Dave and Holly (also our neighbors!) We went to this Seafood restaurant and enjoyed some good ole' boiled craw fish! (YUMMY!) it was quite the experience! (It was my first time ever having BOILED craw fish, and I must say they were quite delicious!)
Speaking of Nicole I have a meeting with her today, we are putting our thoughts together and are possibly going to start our own business, baby related products....
It will be interesting to see what we come up with and how far we take it!
We turned in our notice about a week ago, which means that we have to be out in 2 months....(SCARY) We have no idea where we are going to be therefor I have no idea where to look for a house! :) I know that something great is right around the corner for Jared and that God will direct us in the path that he wants us to take! (with that being said, I'm still stressed out because I don't know what path that is!!! LOL)
So come on give me some kind of hint......

I'm like a ray of sunshine...
So I was inspired by my girlfriends blog (ashley) to take a color test to see what color I am and if it would describe me at all.....
Turns out I'm like a ray of sunshine (yellow) Tell me what you think!
Jami, your true color is Yellow!
You're yellow, the color of joy and energy — two things you definitely bring to everyone around you. It's hard for anyone to be sad or lonely in your presence; your sunny disposition and cheery outlook just won't allow it. The warmth of your personality shines through in the kindness you show friends and family (and strangers, too). Always ready with a lighthearted joke or heartfelt compliment, you know how to make people feel good about themselves, so they can't get enough of you. Yellow is a warm and inviting color for a warm and inviting person — you!

Top of the mornin to yha

Saint patties day has come and gone but I was able to get some really cute pictures of our little lad. (Look Pop he's wearing his little Hooligans shirt!) He had a long Saint Patrick's day, he had his 4 month check up and had to get about 6 shots! :( I do believe that Jared will be making the 6 month check up, because I don't believe that I can handle another round of shots right now! (Connor has this ultimate sad face and when he does it, it just breaks your heart...when he gets his shots he has it the entire time!) The doctor said that he is doing really well he is meeting most of the 4 month old goals...I can't wait until he starts taking interest in solids that will be so fun! (we have fed him solids but I'm not sure he really understood or cared!)
Jared is doing really well, he has midterms this week! :( He only has about 2 months left in the program! (It's really kind of scary/exciting/sad!) It will be sad to say goodbye to friends that we have made in the program. Although we are lucky to have a few friends that are staying in/around Austin! Jared and I are looking for rental houses in Austin. The housing market out here is so expensive! (for rentals at least!) The area that we are wanting to be in is way too expensive so we have to be creative and open minded about where we are going to live! We have to turn in our notice to the apartments this month....that's when the real hunt will begin!

four months old!

I just can't believe how quick my little bear is growing up! Connor is capable of holding his head up by his self when laying on his stomach, my little munchkin has also learned how to roll over from front to back and back to front! Not to mention that he can sit up by himself, well kind of...he got a new bumbo chair this weekend and he LOVES it!
Also .... Gigi, you would be happy to know that he has finally discovered his thumb! (he sucks on his thumb all the time!)
Connor and I went to Corpus this weekend with my mom and sister to visit my Aunt Delores, Connor really enjoyed his time there....in fact he enjoyed himself so much that he laughed, that's right he laughed for the very first time! (he hasn't done it since! But I'm hopeful!) He has also discovered that he can SQUEAL!!!! He is becoming so much fun!
On another note-
Jared is discovering life changes as well!
He and his two friends Mike and Steve are attempting an entrepreneurial career! Now that the MBA program is coming to a close the guys are realizing more than ever that they want to make Simple CFO work! They have been working very hard on this since the beginning of the program and it seems that they are finally going to benefit from all of their hard work, they just received their very first client! :) Jared and Mike are off to Washington this week to sign their very first client! We are all very excited and are hoping that this is the start to a very successful business!

It's all a lie!
So according to the look-alike meter Connor looks like both Jared and myself! Everyone keeps saying that he looks more like Jared, apparently it's all a lie because he looks just like the both of us! :) (yes I am gloating, because no one ever tells me that he looks like me! :)!!!)

This little piggy went to the market....
Today my mom, sister, Connor, my great friend Tambi and I all went to the Wimberley Market days! It was so much fun, they sell all sorts of really neat things like jewelry, salsa, antiques, clothes, etc. We found some great bargains! I got an amazing pair of sunglasses and an adorable watch for the summer while the others found beautiful jewelry, clothes, candles, and food! Connor lucked out and got an adorable little tie dye bucket hat and a CD from Grandma, this CD is so cool it's a bunch of children's songs that sing songs that include your child's name. personalcds.com
It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be going back!
