an American tradition...

An American tradition conquered...

Well today Connor had his first (of what I assume to be the first of many) McDonald's hamburger. He ate almost the entire thing... he left about 1/3 uneaten!
*and mommy didn't even get one bite! (which was probably for the best!)

pictures that will melt the heart...

Here are a few pictures of my sweet little boy...

He likes to wear the arm floats around the house! I'll tell him to go put on his muscles and he'll run and get his floats! Also staring in this picture is his best friend- doggie!

I snuck this picture oh him and his dad playing in Connor's room... I love moments like this!

He has learned to climb and sit at his little table in his room... so grown up!

My little fire fighter!

I snuck this picture- he was reading a book about doggies to his dad, my heart melted when I saw this!

Here Are some pictures of Connor with the family...

A weekend with Pop, Gigi, Uncle Tay, and Uncle Max! Connor got to see the family this past weekend. I'm pretty sure that he enjoyed being showered with all of the attention and hugs/kisses that he got! He already misses you guys!

A day at the park with Gigi... Connor got to enjoy some playtime with his Gigi! I think that Gigi had just as much fun as Connor!

moving up

Next month Connor will move up into the big boy room at school. They are preparing him for the move as of last week. As part of the adjustment Connor has to learn new tricks, for example, he has to lear to drink out of an open cup! No sippy cups in this class, is it just me or is that really sad? In this class they start working on the ABC's and 123's, we have been working on the ABC's at home- any idea out there on how to improve this process? (it isn't going so smooth for me-I'm not sure that I'm going about it the right way) I was thinking about buying a sesame street DVD that has the ABC's on it and getting some flash cards. So far all I have been doing is the song and saying things like the A says... the B says... etc.
Connor has been picking up on a lot of new vocabulary words- the other-day he specifically asked for a "ookie" - cookie. This morning while watching Dora they said "can you say BACKPACK" Connor replied with "ack-pack". He has become much more vocal lately. I know that now is the time to take advantage of his want to learn. Going to school to be a school teacher you would think that I would know what to do- not so much!

So I am asking all of the moms out there....
what did you do? How did it work? What would you do different?
Thanks in advance!

New habits

Connor has become quite the vocal one in the house lately! He has picked up this new habit of pulling out a new sippy cup every-time he wants "Uice"-(juice), regardless if he already has a full cup of it in-front of him.
Seriously?
He can have a cup of milk and a cup of juice right in-front of him.... but if it isn't the cup he wants, then there is NO WAY he's drinking out of it! The funny thing is its not like it's a one very special cup (I could understand that) nope, it's any cup that isn't already full of old "uice".
I have to admit as annoying as it is.... it's still kinda cute!

Another really cute thing Connor has discovered is kissing! He has known how to give kisses for quite some time but recently he has figured out how to give them all on his own- with out any request! He will walk up to you grab your head and kiss you! Really and truly it melts the heart like you wouldn't believe. If only he could keep this habit up for the rest of his life, sadly I know it will end in kindergarten :( Until that sad day, I will accept every little puckered kiss I can get... snot and all!

"Tar tar" that means guitar, my son is just like his dad! He loves to play Jared's guitar, he knows not to touch it unless dad is around! Poor Jared he can't get a second of guitar in with out Connor on his lap. He also knows to use the pick to strum the strings with, he will even ask for it by it's name. I'm sure this is one habit Jared is happy to see! (along with loving things that daddy loves, Connor has also discovered that he loves airplanes. When he sees one in the sky he points and says "pane" ... what more could Jared ask for?)

"Hot" for all food whether it's hot, cold, or room temperature!

"Noo no no nnooooo no" is what I have been getting for everything lately, whether he means no or not. "Connor I love you" "Noo nooo no" "Connor are you a cutie pie?" "no nooo noooo" The funny thing is when he is doing something wrong and you catch him, half the time he will say "no no nooo" before you can... it's really funny! (maybe I should find another way to tell him that he can't get into or do things, rather than saying No."
