Lets go Green one step at a time!

Don't you hate getting a billion phone books and having no other use for them other than collecting dust bunnies, or if your like our friend here you could nap on them!? My friends we have plenty of things that can collect those dust bunnies, the internet can give you any number, address, or any other info that you could possibly need! You can opt out of just the yellow pages or do as I did and opt out of both yellow and white! It's just one more thing that we can do together to help save our Earth! Go on be green......

You would also make my day if you could take the time to recycle those lovely cans, glass and plastic bottles that your just going to throw away as well! - Much love

I promise not to go digging through your trash when I come over....I just think that we can all make a difference if we just try! :)

Let me take this moment to brag!

Here is an adorable video of Connor giving his mommy BIG KISSES!!!!! Ahhhhh I love being a mom!

HAHA here is one of Connor saying his version of the word milk and him telling me NO-NO while pointing his finger at me! WAY CUTE!

Here is one of Connor and I reading a book during lunch today! Watch how much he has learned, he can identify all sorts of things! He makes a mom and dad very proud!

Here is a video of Connor identifying "da-da dino" and "baby dino" We still have some work o do, but he's catching on really fast!

This last one is really cute, Connor is getting his hippo from our bedroom.... this one shows off his new walking skills and how he understands the word hippo and his understanding of going to get something that isn't right in front of him! :)

Also we are working on diaper, he can say his version of diaper... although if you weren't his mom or dad you would have no clue as to what he means by dida, get his diaper from the box on the floor, and go to his diaper changing rug, sit down, and wait some what patiently! :) (patients with Connor is a long ways off! LOL)

But all in all I'm pretty sure that I have the cutest, smartest, sweetest boy in the entire world.... what do you think?'

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone! Sorry that I haven't blogged in a while, we were with out a computer for a while, those of you that got the "awesome" dell from UT understands what a pain in the but that thing was! We now have a rocking Mac that I am "techno-nerd-in-love-with!" anyway we are up and running again!

So many things have happened! Jared had a surprise party for his big 30!!!! It was amazing, we had friends come in from everywhere to celebrate! Jared had no clue and I for once with held a surprise from him...I planned this party for at least three months! We had a great time we grilled some fajitas had some beer, and jungle juice, took some great pictures, and played an interesting game of catch phrase! The night went off great and the shock on his face was worth every bit of stress that I undertook!

Well after another grueling ear infection, Connor got surgery- ear tubes to be precise. The surgery went really well all in all the surgery itself only lasted about 10 min. Connor received some "goofy" medicine...I have a video to show you how hilarious little boys can be! Connor did really well and so did his mom and dad!

How was your Christmas? Ours was fabulous we had a great time hanging out with our families! As you can see Connor helped make some cookies and left them, some milk, and his letter to Santa out...and Santa came by our house he left Connor an awesome gift he got this really cool tunnel tent set up, seriously I think Jared and I like it more than Connor does! I will say though that Connor took a liking to it right away he began crawling through it before we could even set it up! He also got his very first Dinosaur, corn popper roller thing (remember those!) a koosh ball, and his very first tricycle, tons of clothes, and Horton hears a Who..... all in all he had a great Christmas!

Since the ear surgery you would think that Connor wouldn't have another ear infection any time soon, hahaha yeah thats what we thought! But a couple of weeks later and not only does he get an ear infection (which wasn't that big of a deal because the tubes did their job and drained that gunk right out!) but he also got bronchitis RSV. Which placed Connor and I in the ER at 6:00 am the day after Christmas! Jared and his family had headed out to Big Bend for some Mountain biking (which he claims was amazingly beautiful and an absolute blast!) Connor had to take steroids for five days and do breathing treatments every three hours, YES EVERY THREE HOURS my friends! But you will be glad to know that he is much better now!

We brought in the New Year with our best friends from Austin, Mike and Nicole, we had a fabulous dinner at their house and then headed down town to listen to some awesome music by Bob Schneider, who by the way is just amazing! http://www.bobschneidermusic.com/ go there to hear some of his music I promise you that you will like him! Anyway we had lots to drink, danced till our feet hurt, and took so memorable pictures! All in all I would say that it was a great way to bring in the new year! By the way the guy with the awesome stash is the lead singer for the Black and Whit Years....

As for Connor I have a lot to update you on....
He is now completely mobile, if you have a kid you know how busy I am now! He has gotten his two bottom molars in, and has taken giant leaps cognitively! He can identify so many things, dogs, hippos, bears, books, trucks, dinos, etc. He can request milk or juice, hand you things when asked, put things like his books away... the list just goes on and on I am amazed at how quickly he is learning! We are working on body parts...he can show you his belly button, and yours ;) it's really cute!
This is all for now but I promise not to take for ever between now and my next post!
