To those of you that have been visiting my blog to only find nothing new...I apologize! I have lost the charger to my camera so therefore I have no way to post old pictures or to take new ones! I promise as soon as I find it or buy a new one to update you with some very cute pictures of Connor on Halloween! In the mean time I will catch you up via blogging!
If you can remember back to about a month ago you will remember our issue of Connor and his crib! Well since the climbing out incident Connor has been sleeping in his pack and play. Well,his Pop has decided to build a bed for our little guy so that he doesn't have to sleep in the pack and play anymore -he will be bringing the bed next weekend! To prepare for the new "big boy" bed we cleaned Connor's room, put away his crib (very sad moment by the way!, put away his "baby toys", and put away the pack and play - our little guy is sleeping on his mattress on the floor tonight! So why am I sharing this with you? Well, after tucking our little guy in to bed and kissing him goodnight we turned on his nightlight and closed the door, 10 min. later I checked on him to find him still on his mattress but playing with his stuffed animals...10 min. later Jared checked on him to only find the exact same thing....10 min. later I checked on him once more expecting to find him playing with his toys at the book shelf...only to find my sweet very well behaved little munchkin still laying in his bed playing with his toys. (I just checked on him for the night and he is sound asleep on his mattress!) Isn't that amazing....a 1 year old stays in bed instead of screaming, crying, crawling around, or playing with his toys! I'm sure that we have plenty of nights ahead of our sweet little boy ... being "not so sweet" but until then I will gloat about how adorable my little monkey is!

(singing) We are a family....
Here is a picture of Connor Strumming the guitar...
Last night it seemed as though Connor would never go to bed, all he wanted to do is play the guitar with his dad!
Today we went to Guadalupe River State park and hung out as a family! We had a blast just hanging out, we went for a hike and then spent some time in the water! The weather was amazing and the water was the perfect temperature, Connor really had a great time!
Here is a video of Connor playing in the water and "sharing" rocks with his dad! -Sorry that it is sideways....I don't know how to turn it!
Here is another short video of Connor at the park. In this one he finds it very funny that he and his dad are throwing rocks!

the big 2-5
Lets start with Happy Birthday to ME!!!!
I am now twenty-five!! It's so strange I feel for the first time that I look my age! I have had a great day so far and I'm sure that it will only get better- Jared just got home with a beautiful pink rose, dinner, and my birthday gift - that I can't open until after dinner!:(
Connor had another day in the "big boy" room....
I took some pictures today of Connor in his new classroom, if you will notice he is sitting at a table in a chair, not in a highchair! Also we had another biting incident, this one however was a bit worse than yesterday...this one drew blood! Ahhhh, hopefully this won't continue.

Growing up hurts :(
Well Connor is now in the “big boy” classroom at daycare!
Yesterday, when I picked our little “monkey” up from school the teacher informed me that our little guy had discovered how to crawl out of his crib!
-No kidding climbing out of his crib!
I wouldn’t have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes, our Connor, our not even 11 month old son climbing out of his crib! So what do you do when your almost 11 month old is climbing out of his crib? That is a great question…I called his pediatrician and asked her just that:
Dr. - “It’s time for a toddler bed”
Me - “But he isn’t even a year, won’t he just roll or crawl out of that?”
Dr.- “It’s really a safety issue at this point- he will crawl out but you just have to discipline him to stay in and you have to make sure to baby proof. You can put him in a play – pin as a temporary solution but I promise he will figure how to crawl out of that pretty soon as well”
So my dear friends my son will be getting a “big boy” bed here soon – too soon!
Because of his new trick he is no longer allowed to sleep in the crib at school, so they moved him into the next class up.
This brings us to our other story…
I got a call from daycare today –on his first day in his new class- they were calling me to inform me that Connor got bitten by another kid in his class! I know that this is common with all kids therefore I didn’t freak out or worry, but check out his “big boy” battle wound…
Apparently the little kid that bit him was being very territorial … the teacher said that Connor cried for a few seconds and was fine…what a “big boy” !
