Lets start with Happy Birthday to ME!!!!
I am now twenty-five!! It's so strange I feel for the first time that I look my age! I have had a great day so far and I'm sure that it will only get better- Jared just got home with a beautiful pink rose, dinner, and my birthday gift - that I can't open until after dinner!:(

Connor had another day in the "big boy" room....
I took some pictures today of Connor in his new classroom, if you will notice he is sitting at a table in a chair, not in a highchair! Also we had another biting incident, this one however was a bit worse than yesterday...this one drew blood! Ahhhh, hopefully this won't continue.

Growing up hurts :(

Well Connor is now in the “big boy” classroom at daycare!

Yesterday, when I picked our little “monkey” up from school the teacher informed me that our little guy had discovered how to crawl out of his crib!
-No kidding climbing out of his crib!
I wouldn’t have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes, our Connor, our not even 11 month old son climbing out of his crib! So what do you do when your almost 11 month old is climbing out of his crib? That is a great question…I called his pediatrician and asked her just that:

Dr. - “It’s time for a toddler bed”
Me - “But he isn’t even a year, won’t he just roll or crawl out of that?”
Dr.- “It’s really a safety issue at this point- he will crawl out but you just have to discipline him to stay in and you have to make sure to baby proof. You can put him in a play – pin as a temporary solution but I promise he will figure how to crawl out of that pretty soon as well”

So my dear friends my son will be getting a “big boy” bed here soon – too soon!

Because of his new trick he is no longer allowed to sleep in the crib at school, so they moved him into the next class up.

This brings us to our other story…
I got a call from daycare today –on his first day in his new class- they were calling me to inform me that Connor got bitten by another kid in his class! I know that this is common with all kids therefore I didn’t freak out or worry, but check out his “big boy” battle wound…


Apparently the little kid that bit him was being very territorial … the teacher said that Connor cried for a few seconds and was fine…what a “big boy” !

So Connor seemed to be getting some what better but the lingering cough, congestion, and ear pulling was too much for me. So, back to the doctor we went! As it turns out it is a good thing that I trusted that motherly instinct because my little guy has viral bronchitis and a full blown ear infection! The doctor sent us to the hospital to get chest x-rays to make sure that it wasn't pneumonia! As part of the process he has to do breathing treatments every four hours for the next three days!

So to add insult to injury....

I am sick! I'm not sure what is wrong with me but I am running a 101.4 fever, headache, sore throat, achy body, and throwing up! I have been taking naps and trying to avoid Connor ..... which is hard to do considering that he has to eat and be changed!

Just pray that we get better soon!

Our sweet little boy!

Well Connor is feeling much better than last week, although he isn't 100% better he is about 85% better! His pink eye is gone and now we just have the lingering cough, congestion, and snot! Ohhh but wait I forgot to mention now that we are getting over our cold, pink eye, and ear infection - we are also teething! LOL That's right my friends our little guy has two more teeth coming in! Including the two new ones that are coming in on the bottom Connor now has 8 teeth! -WOW-
Connor is 10 ½ months old, it is crazy to think that he will be one in 1 ½ months! Below are some cute pictures and a few videos of our cute little guy!

Here are some pictures from last weekend we spent some time in Austin. Jared Connor and I took a run through The Heights and then we all went to Zilker Park for some fun family time! Connor got to play on all sorts of cool things like a dolphin, a seal, the slide, the swings, they even have these really cool musical things like drums and giant pipes to bang on, and not to forget he also got to see Zippy the Clown! Zilker is really a great place for kids, there is so much to do and so many people, ahhh how we miss Austin!

We also went with my parents to Pecan Street Festival on 6th street there were a lot of people and it was really hot, but we all had a good time! After we went to eat... I think that my parents just enjoyed hanging out with Connor more than anything!

As you can see he has figured out how to do all sorts of things like….
Get in the dish washer….yeah I know he is quite the little helper!

This video is all for his dad, I couldn't’t help but capture this moment, Connor and I had been home for about ½ an hour when he started looking for his dad! He looked in our room, the kitchen, then back to the living room, and finally he made his way to the window, he sat at the window for a good 15-20 min playing with his toys and saying
“daaa-da DAAA-DA”
is really was quite adorable!

My poor baby...

Connor is sick! :(
My poor baby went to the doctor yesterday as it turns out he has a cold, an ear infection (again for the third time!) and pink eye! (YEEAAHHH FOR DAY CARE!!!) My wonderful mother-in-law came into town on Thursday to watch him so that I could take my test at school and today I am staying home with my sick little monkey. Although I have to say that for a little boy with a 102 fever, runny/stuffy nose, cough, ear infection, and pink eye....he has a lot of energy! The doctor gave us eye drops that we have to put into both eyes - three times a day - for one week, let me tell you putting eye drops in a ten month old little boy's eyes is very very difficult! It seems that he is feeling a little bit better though, so hopefully he is getting better....

A change is coming...

Ahhh cold fronts! Who doesn't enjoy a nice cold front? Today had to be about 70dgs all day long, I enjoyed my nice hot Coffee as I walked all that I could between classes then I enjoyed my lunch in the crisp cool breeze by the fountain at school. I love fall....and it is on it's way!
I started working-out with a personal trainer last week, she has me doing a full work-out Mon-Fri. She is amazing though, a beautiful tall SKINNY , strong, fit, tan...woman from Brazil (need I say more?) when she asked me what my goal was I informed her that my goal was to look like her! I think that she took me serious because I haven't been this sore in I couldn't tell you how long! All the pain aside I feel just amazing, I actually look forward to getting up and going to the gym! My goal is to look better than I did pre-pregnancy by Christmas and to run a 5k in November. Before most of you may think a 5k by November...Jami that is so easy.... please think about who you are talking to, I am not and never have been a runner! I have started my training and my trainer insists that she will have be running a 10k by then....(LOL) we will see, she is so hard core that at this rate I believe her!
